The first round of 1/8IC&E Czech nationals took place last weekend in Radotin. Local club did amazing job and prepared nice track for the event for which I owe them my big thanks!
In practice my FX powered XB8 worked fantastic since the first fuel tank and we only tried a few small setup changes. I was surprised with my XB8E, first race ever with it and the car was super-fast.
In 1/8E qualifications my Orion powered XB8E was dialled and gained overall TQ by TQing all three qualifications and got directly into the final. In 1/8IC I tried every round different tyre pattern to find out the best one for the final and finished overall 2nd after qualifications which was enough for getting straight to the final (as in both 1/8E & 1/8IC 1st and 2nd driver go directly to the final). Overall TQ went to Jiri Mara, congrats!
In 1/8E final my XB8E with Orion power on PL Suppressor was on fire, set the fastest lap of 1/8E class and took an easy win ahead of great driving Vaclav Broz in 2nd and Martin Rytir in 3rd!

For 1/8IC final we did more changes on the car as the track changed a lot during the day and decided to run on Lockdown X2 as tyre wear started to appear as a big problem. In the final, Jiri & me got quickly away from the rest of the field and had a nice fight for about 10 minutes, but then Jiri made few mistakes and I took the win with more than a half lap in front of second driver. Third & fourth overall finished the XRAY young guns - Milan Mudra and Max Gotzl, congratulations to both for great driving!
